Yes. Same-day anti-aging blepharoplasty may be possible after your consultation, provided that you have followed the required fasting guidelines and there is sufficient time in the surgical schedule.

No. The aegyo-sal, the small area of muscle and soft tissue that creates a youthful fullness beneath the eyes, is anatomically distinct from the under-eye fat. Repositioning or removing excess under-eye fat does not necessarily eliminate the aegyo-sal. In fact, reducing excess under-eye fat may make the aegyo-sal more visible, helping create a brighter and more youthful appearance.

Lower eyelid eversion occurs when the lower eyelid is pulled downward excessively, causing it to turn outward. This can happen if too much skin or orbicularis oculi muscle is removed during lower blepharoplasty, or due to complications such as a postoperative hematoma. At Lienjang, we take care to securely support and anchor the outer corner of the eye following lower eyelid correction. As a result, outward turning of the lower eyelid and unwanted changes in eye shape are rare.

• Avoid excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, saunas, jjimjilbangs (Korean bathhouses), and strenuous exercise for 7–14 days after surgery to help reduce the risk of inflammation.
• Avoid rubbing or applying excessive pressure or irritation to the treated area.
• Keep the skin well moisturized and apply sunscreen whenever you go outdoors.
• Gentle face washing and light makeup may be possible starting the day after surgery, as advised by your surgeon. Avoid exfoliating scrubs and chemical peeling treatments during the initial recovery period.
