- Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 2 weeks after surgery.
- Carefully remove the tape under your eyes on Day 3 after surgery.
- If a small amount of blood slowly oozes from the surgical site, it may be residual blood draining from the area. Use a clean towel to gently wipe away the blood, then apply gentle pressure to the surgical site for 10 minutes.
Facial Contouring
- Irritation or significant impact to the surgical site may cause bleeding or hematoma formation. Avoid activities that increase pressure on the face (e.g., vomiting, straining during bowel movements, coughing, sneezing, or bending your head forward).
- Apply cold compresses for the first 3 days after surgery to help reduce swelling. Starting on Day 4, use warm compresses. As facial sensation may be reduced after surgery, take care to avoid frostbite or burns caused by cold or warm compress packs.
- After surgery involving an incision inside the mouth, dilute the prescribed mouthwash with water (or saline solution) at a ratio of 2 parts mouthwash to 1 part water (or saline).
- Rinse your mouth after every meal and approximately every 3–4 hours. Rinse gently without using excessive force.
- You may brush your teeth as usual starting the day after surgery, but please do so carefully using a small toothbrush.
- Light walking can help reduce swelling. Running and strenuous exercise that puts pressure on the face may be resumed after 1 month.
- Avoid alcohol, smoking, and saunas for 1 month after surgery.
- (For cheekbone reduction surgery) Avoid blowing your nose or opening your mouth widely for 6 weeks after surgery.
- (For cheekbone reduction surgery) If the dressing over the incision near the sideburn area gets wet, replace it with a small amount of ointment and a clean bandage.
- (For chin surgery) Keep the tape on the front of your chin in place for 1 week after surgery. Do not remove it during this period.
Fat Grafting
- Avoid applying cold or warm compresses after fat grafting.
- For the first week after fat grafting, sleep on your back with your upper body elevated.
- Weight loss after fat grafting may reduce fat graft survival.
- Take care not to put pressure on the grafted areas. In particular, avoid wearing hats and sunglasses.

- Avoid swimming, saunas, and Korean jjimjilbangs (public bathhouses) for 1 month.
- You may wash your face and apply makeup starting the day after surgery, avoiding areas covered with healing tape.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 3 weeks after surgery.

Facial Liposuction
- If a lifting band has been provided, wear it for at least 1 week, except when eating or sleeping.
- The longer you wear the lifting band, the more it may help improve skin lifting.
- If lifting tape has been applied, keep it in place for 3 days.
- You may resume normal daily activities, but avoid strenuous exercise (e.g., golf, working out at the gym, and Pilates) for 2 weeks.
- You may wash your face and apply makeup starting the day after surgery, avoiding the areas around the stitches.
